| How often does this happen? Your partner makes a remark or does something. You get offended or pissed. Either you storm off, or hang up the phone.
You spend the rest of the day upset with the matter. Even if you try to do something to distract your mind off this, someway or another, it creeps back in. On the other hand, your partner spends the next 1 minute bothered, and then for some strange apparent reason, the issue is out of his mind immediately after. And when you bring it up later on, it seems like he can't even remember why you were angry to begin with. Either that, or he knows that you're angry, but doesn't know why. It's strange that Men can take on high-level ranking analytical roles in the office when they can't even dig a lil deeper into your feelilngs..
And from this post, it's obvious that I had just experienced the above.

| Cut it short
I find myself becoming more and more short fused lately. As i'm running out of excuses such as PMS, hormonal changes, work stress, etc... I'm beginning to think if i need psychiatric help.
It is pretty worrying that my relationship will turn out like how it did 3 years back when we broke up.
It started heading this way as we were falling apart.
Time to cheer myself up with some music.

| Have I grown up?
I seriously think that I have matured a lot since I was 22, in the midst of the school days where every quarrel in the relationship will lead on to a break up.
It's funny that I see some juniors in my life now going through that phase -feeling terribly upset when they break up, even though they do so every once in 2 months.
I learn to realise that life is about being satisfied. Expectations kill us all, they make us greedy for more, for something better. When one is contented with the simple pleasures in life, the world can be a much happier and easier place to live in.
We should learn to appreiciate what we already possess. We should appreciate stabilty, family, love, relationship, our partner, God (for those who believe in him, not me tho), the people around us, nature, art, culture, food, music, the list is non-exhaustive.
I will appreciate...

| The Lunar New Year - My Two Cents Worth
Being a Chinese and in my years of life, the Lunar New Year has always been one of the best time of the year for me.
As a kid, I loved the privilege of indulging in any sort of junk - be it chocolate, sodas or traditional Chinese goodies. To top that up, it's always that time of the year that there's really a credit than a debit in my bank account . What's there to dislike? Cash $$$, food, holidays!!!
As I've grown and as maturity dawns upon me, I realized the real signification of this festive ocassion. It's about family bliss. Apart from my direct familiy, I ain't got relatives in the country. So it's not an opportunity of gathering with cousins my age and enjoying the company while we all PLAY, but rather, a chance for the family to really take time out of our hectic daily lifestyle and spend a little more time with one another. Afterall, how many more years would we have with our parents? I am blessed with a complete loving family. This I will learn to cherish.
Just a food for thought to share if it has never really crossed your mind. | | |
